Margaret Estelle Miles nee Gebeau 87 of Ontonagon passed away March 19, 2010 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital's Long Term Care Unit with her children Bill and Cindy at her side. She had been a resident there since September.

Margaret was born on September 30, 1922 in White Pine to Joseph and Caroline (Godell) Gebeau. She moved to Ontonagon as a young child.

Margaret graduated from Ontonagon High School in 1941. She then attended cosmetology school in Marquette, graduating in 1942.

On June 7, 1947, she married William F. Miles in Ontonagon. She had resided in Ontonagon until the time of her death.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, brother Alvin Gebeau and sisters Gladys Miles and Naomi Coffey.

She is survived by her children Betty Reimer of Duluth, MN, Bill Miles and Cindy Miles both of Ontonagon, sister Mary Myhren of Green, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will take place Tuesday, March 23rd at 2 p.m. at the Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon with Reverend Cherrie Sporleder officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Spring burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Ontonagon.
