Margaret A. Perander 85 of Ontonagon passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the Maple Manor Nursing Center in Ontonagon.

She was born July 7, 1923 in Enterprise, KY to the late Carl & Ruth Gifford. Margaret was united in marriage to the late William H. Burrows in 1946. In 1959 she married the late Carl Perander. Margaret married the late Wilfred Perander in 1962. She worked as a nurse's aid at the Ontonagon Memorial Hospital until her retirement.

She is survived by her son William (Carol) Burrows of Ontonagon, grandchildren Robert (Carmen) Burrows of Ontonagon, Carla (Dean) LaPlant of Negaunee, MI, Tina (Mike) York of Peck, MI, and William (Teresa) Burrows Jr. of Marysville, WA and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will take place Friday, November 21, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ontonagon, Pastor Howard Neider officiating. Friends may call at the church 1 hour prior to the start of the service. The Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family.
