Marion Lucille Chaput went to be with the lord Monday early evening April 6th 2009 at Maple Manor in Ontonagon.
The former Marion Goudge was born on Quincy Hill September 23rd1917 . Daughter of the late William and Mable (Hosking) Goudge . Marion lived her early life on Quincy hill and attended Quincy school to the 10th grade . And then graduated from Hancock high school in 1936. Marion played hockey as a goalie for the Quincy, Hill Town, and Hancock high school girl's team. In 1939 Marion Married Bernard Chaput at St Mary's church in Atlantic Mine Mi. They lived In Baltic Mi. And Quincy Hill and then moved to White Pine in 1946. A member of St Jude's church White Pine and along with her husband was one of the first members to help build this church. Was a member of St Jude's altar society .a member of the Porcupine senior center .Past member of the White Pine woman's club . Marion enjoyed her grandchildren and great grand children playing card with friends, bingo, reading, knitting, watching soaps, and camping with the camping group.
. Marion was preceded in Death by her husband Bernard in 1990. Her parents, three sisters, Anne, Mable and Ruth, three brothers Russell, Harry and William. She is survived by her two children Jo-Ann (Francis) Skoviak of White Pine Mi. Michael (Lucy) Chaput of Marquette Mi. Nine grand children Julie (Pete) Smith of Depere WI. Laurie (Ted ) Rhoades Howard Wi. Steve Skoviak DePere Wi. and Bernard (Pauline) Skoviak Howard Wi. Jared (Jill) Skoviak Wyndotte Mi. Stephanie Chaput Marquette Mi. Sherri (Bill) Duncan South Carolina. Kathleen (Miles) Mariette, Marquette Mi. Whitney (Jon) Ollia Marquette Mi. 14 Great Grand children. Steven Jennifer and Sarah Smith, Matthew and Deanna Skoviak, Tyler and Dustan Skoviak, Hannah and Jayden Rhoades. Carley and Collin Fure (Chaput) Entonio and Milan, Mariette also Carmen Ollia all of Marquette MI. Sisters In-law's Jean Verbanic , Angie Goudge and Bertha Chaput. One brother in-law Hank Turcotte .And many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St Jude's Catholic Church in White Pine Tuesday April 14th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the church on Monday April 13th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Rosary service will be held Monday Evening at 7 p.m.
