Obituary

Marion L. Nehmer Washburn Lutz 90 passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital's Long Term Care Unit.

She was born September 24, 1922 in Ontonagon, MI to the late Henry & Elizabeth (Twa) Nehmer and was their last surviving child.

On December 24, 1943 Marion married the late Bernard G. Lutz in Laredo, TX. She worked at Wager's Women's Apparel for many years. Marion also worked as a receptionist at Ontonagon Memorial Hospital. After her retirement, she moved to Florida and lived there for 25 years. Marion was also married to the late Lester Washburn.

She was an active member of the United Methodist Church. Marion loved to bake and cook. She also loved to go fishing, camping and spend time with her sisters and family.

Marion is survived by her twin sons Daniel (Peg) and Donald (Gloria). She is also survived by her grandchildren Mike (Bonnie), Pam (Dale) Karttunen, Eric (Shannon), Kim (Patrick) Stevens and Tony (Sara), 8 great-granddaughters and 2 great-great-granddaughters, step children, step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and siblings.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 30th at Noon at the United Methodist Church in Ontonagon. Friends may call at the church 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Inurnment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery in Ontonagon. A luncheon will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent DePaul in Ontonagon, the United Methodist Church in Ontonagon or the Long Term Care Hospital Foundation.
