Marjorie Moore of White Pine died Saturday, March 17, 2007 with her loving family by her side.
The former Marjorie Johns was born December 29, 1924 in Ontonagon, daughter of the late Howard and Elitha (Olson) Johns.
She moved to Flint, MI in 1953 where she was employed by General Motors Local 326. She was a member of the American Legion Post 462 Auxiliary of White Pine. Her generosity was felt by all she touched, family, friends and animals.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters Judy (Clifford) Pelkola of Rhinelander, WI, Joanna Sparpanic of Flushing, MI, Carol (Jack) Hutte of White Pine, MI and Debra (Terry) Keen of Clio, MI, loving grandmother of 9 Robin (Jay) Earhart of Plymouth, MA, Rick (Katie Kimball) White of Flushing, MI, Kerri (Scott) Mince of Alto, MI Kristi (Travis) Johnson of Caledonia, MI, Heidi Carpenter of White Pine, MI, Gary (Joey) Carpenter of Ironwood, MI, Jacki (Ron) White of White Pine, MI, Kevin (Jennifer) Wegher and Jonathan Wegher of Clio, MI, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 sister Donna (Henry) Herman of Jacksonville, TX, a special brother Howard "Skip" (Shirley) Johns of White Pine, MI, special niece and namesake Marjorie (Midgie Johns) Axley of Ontonagon, MI and nephew Larry Johns.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elwood Moore and sister Lenore Johnston.
At the deceased request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the White Pine Community United Lutheran Church with Pastor Penny Olson officiating. Luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. Friends may call at the church 1 hour prior to the start of the services.
Thank you to the staff of Long Term Care Facility of Ontonagon Memorial Hospital and Cane Funeral Home for assisting with the Arrangements. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to OCAP, the local animal shelter.
