Marvin Edward Deiter 66, of White Pine passed away Friday, November 17, 2006 at his daughter's home after a 6 month battle with cancer.

He was born November 12, 1940 in Stambaugh, MI to the late Harold and Eunice Deiter

Marvin moved to White Pine, MI in 1968. He worked for Copper Range and White Pine Refinery. He retired in 2003 after 37 years of service.

Marvin was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, hunting and camping. His greatest love was his grandchildren whom he treasured. Marvin spent much time with them, teaching them about nature and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife Fay (Prudhomme) Deiter, children Steven (Susanne) of San Antonio, TX, Kathy (Jim Woytasik) Newhouse of Wausau, WI and Mark (Michele of Brillon, WI, grandchildren Melissa and Michele Newhouse, Jordan Pulkas, Brooke, Kelsey and Troy Deiter, siblings Bonnie (Bob) Vadnais, Ronald (Sue) Deiter and Gary (Linda) Deiter and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, brother Clyde and sister Darlene McGeshick

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 22nd from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Jude's Catholic Church in White Pine. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, November 22nd 11 a.m. Burial will take place at the Stambaugh Cemetery in Iron River, MI.
