Mary Ann Blake went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, Nov. 29th in Marquette General Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born on Feb. 16, 1936 to Onni and Vieno (Lahti) Niemi in Detroit, MI. She moved to Mass City as a young child attended Mass Schools, graduating with the class of 1954. She attended Suomi College for one year.

On June 23rd, 1956, she married her high school sweetheart Dale Blake. Together they raised three children: Judy, Jerry and David. Dale and Mary Ann owned and operated Dale's Service for 40 years. Mary Ann also worked at the First National Bank in Ontonagon early in their marriage and later the Lake Superior Credit Union until her retirement in 1997.

Mary Ann enjoyed traveling and her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Redeemer Free Lutheran Church in Ontonagon.

She was preceded in Death by her parents, an infant brother Marvin, brother Melvin and daughter Judy.
