Mary Jo Livingston of Bruce Crossing, MI (resident of Three Rivers, MI until 2006) passed away on January 24, 2015 at St. Joseph Medical Hospital in Marshfield, WI after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Kalamazoo County, MI on March 23, 1940 to the late Elmer and Hilma Houts. Mary Jo married her beloved husband of 55 years Darwin on August 29, 1959. In 1977 she received her master's degree from Western Michigan University. Mary Jo then taught middle school in Three Rivers until her retirement in 1999.

She was preceded in death by her son Mark.

Mary Jo is survived by her husband Darwin of Bruce Crossing, MI, daughters Cristina Livingston of Denver, CO, Peggy (Jeff) Roach of Bolder, CO, son Michael Livingston of Bruce Crossing, MI, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brothers Lewis (Edie) Houts of Plano, TX, Dr. Larry Houts of San Diego, CA, sisters Betty (Phil) Knapp of Lawton, MI and Martha (Carl) Stakes of Kerrville, TX.
