Mary (Niemi) Malnar, 49, of Ewen passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 of a massive heart attack.

Mary was born on September 18, 1962 in Wakefield, Michigan to Charlotte Niemi and the late Clifford Niemi. Mary attended Ewen-Trout High School and graduated from Northern Michigan University with an Associate Degree in Business.

Mary is survived by her children, Stephanie and Scott Nason; mother, Charlotte Niemi; and brothers and sisters, Clifford Niemi, Teresa Miesbauer, Edward Niemi, and Jane Kolinsky. Mary will be deeply missed by family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at the Sacred Heart Church in Ewen, Michigan with Father Brian Gerber officiating. There will be visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ewen, Michigan.
