Mary Ann
Mazurek
Jan 2, 1959 — Sep 7, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Mazurek, a beloved member of our community, who departed this world peacefully on September 7, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on January 2, 1959, in Ontonagon, MI.
Mary Ann worked for over 30 years as a waitress and bartender for the AmericInn in Silver City and truly enjoyed helping customers. She made so many amazing friends there over the years that she was grateful for. Mary also loved spending time at the beach picking agates and beach glass. She enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it was at the camp with her brothers and sisters or making memories with her husband, daughter and son-in-law on their many vacations. She was thankful for every moment.
Her legacy will be carried on by her loving husband, Jack Mazurek, her devoted daughter and son-in-law Debbie (Jeremiah) Sloan, who each feel the profound loss of a remarkable woman. She also leaves her sibilings Gary, John and Butch Monville; sisters, Brenda Masucci, Cassandra Monville and Lynn Majurin. Mary Ann was not only a cherished wife and mother and sister, but also a dear friend to countless individuals in the Ontonagon community.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Myrtle Monville.
We invite all who knew and loved Mary Ann to gather in remembrance and celebration of her beautiful life. A graveside service will be held at Holy Family Cemetery on September 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM, where we will honor her memory and legacy. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at the cemetery located at 1442 Rockland Rd., Ontonagon, MI 49953.
The family would like to thank the Mayo Clinic for their compassionate care for their precious Mary.
In this time of sorrow, let us come together to support one another as we celebrate the life of a truly wonderful woman. Mary Ann's spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
