Michael Lee Halquist, 75, went home to the Lord on January 6, 2024. He was born in South Bend, IN on August 8, 1948.

In 1969, he married Susan (Schlender) at Milwaukee Gospel Tabernacle. Michael was a minister for 40 years at several small churches in Indiana, Wisconsin, and Upper Michigan. During those 40 years, he ministered in Glidden, WI for 24 years and Ontonagon, MI for 8 years where he retired from pastoring in 2021. Michael enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and hiking with his family.

He is survived by his wife Susan, sons Joel, Jonathan (Jamie), grandchildren Hallie (Ryan Burke), Kyla, Caleb, Benton, and Asher, and siblings David (Marj) Halquist, Pauline (Dave) Davidson, Thomas (Diane) Halquist, Margaret (Denny) Carey, Judith (Allen) Clark, John Halquist, and Daniel (Dorothy) Halquist, nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Harry and Irene Halquist, and his infant daughter.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 - 11:00am at Bridge Church (1314 S Grand Ave, Waukesha, WI 53186).
