Obituary

Norman Perander 63 of Ontonagon passed away on May 11, 2010 at home after his battle with cancer.

He was born in Ontonagon to Norman & Helen (Kangas) Perander on June 01, 1946.

Following his graduation from Ontonagon High School, Norman enlisted in the Army and served from November 1966 to November 1968. Following his discharge from the service, he worked at the White Pine Copper Mine and then for Pestka Construction until his retirement in the spring of 2009. Norman enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother Helen Mannan, sister Carol Harry, brother Robert Perander, his wife of 15 A½ years Joyce (Fomento) Perander, son Marc Fomento (granddaughter Bailey May Fomento), and daughter Rochelle Fomento (grandson Austin Allan Fomento).

Norman was preceded in death by his father Norman Perander, Adopted father Robert Mannan and sister Shirley Kaminen.

He will be loved and missed

A memorial gathering will be held at the Eagles Hall in Ontonagon Saturday, May 15th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friends may view Norman's obituary and leave condolences at canefuneralhome.com.
