Obituary

Paul D. "Porter" Wagner, 58 of Mass City passed away October 27, 2014 at his home.

He was born on April 20, 1956 in Detroit to Art and Helen (Rova) Wagner. Paul served in the US Navy from 1974-1977 and worked as a carpenter and handyman in the Mass City area, as well as for Mass Bluff Builders, where he built log homes. He was very well-liked and was always willing to lend a hand. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Bobcat Shack deer camp. Paul loved his niece and nephews dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Helen; grandparents Wilma and John Rova; and several aunts and uncles.

Paul is survived by his brother John (Mary) Wagner; niece Cassandra Wagner; nephews Ronnie and Johnny Wagner; cousins Kathy (Jack) Beavers and Siri (David) Hansen, both of the Chicago area, and Robert (Chris) Prusak of Texas. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

In accordance with Paul's wishes, no services will be held at this time. Paul's family would like to thank Aspirus Keweenaw Home Health & Hospice and all the nurses, nurse aides and friends who visited and helped care for Paul.
