Rachel Elizabeth Brown 17, was lifted up to meet her Lord and Savior on May 18, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Rachel was born on August 15,1996 in Holland Michigan and moved to Mass City shortly after.
Rachel had many hobbies including baking, dirt biking,swimming, fishing, scrapbooking with her Nana,making jewelery for her family and friends, riding her Rhino with her beloved brothers and sister, and traveling with her mother , whom she often described as her soul mate.
Rachel was also a very strong advocate for childhood cancer research.
Rachel could light up a room with her bright smile and infectious laugh. She touched the lives of countless people who admired her stregnth, bravery, faith, and determination.
Throughout all of her trials, Rachel asked for prayers, not for herself, but for all of her cancer warrior friends.
She is admired and loved by thousands of people across this world.
Rachel is survived by her Mother, Meri Brown,( Poppy, Travis Hall), Father, Jeff Brown, ( fiancee, Christina Rehm), Brothers , Erik and Kasey, Sister, Alexandria , Maternal Grandparents Rick and Sherry DeHaan (Nana and Bumpa) Paternal Grandparents Dan and Carol Brown,numerous Aunts ,Uncles, cousins , and extended family.
Rachel was preceded in death by her baby brother, Great Grandparents, 2 baby cousins, as well as many fellow pediatric cancer warriors.
The family of Rachel would like to thank all of the people who have supported them these last 9 years ,for all of the prayers uplifted in her behalf, for all the support and love of our community, and would like to extend a very special thanks to the Drs. and nurses who have touched her life, including Dr.Rajanee, Dr. Andersen, Dr. Joshi, and Dr. Hayes-Jordon.
Rachel is gone in body, but she will forever remain in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved her, and were touched by her.
There will be a visitation on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Greenland Seventh Day Adventist Church, at 11:00 a.m and a memorial service to follow at 1:00 p.m
