Raymond W. Luoma 77 of Greenland passed away at Bayside Village in L'Anse on July 20, 2018

Ray was born October 3, 1940 to Henry & Ella (Laurila) Luoma.  He graduated from Mass High School in 1958.

Ray worked at the Ontonagon County Rad Commission. Then in Detroit on construction projects as a truck driver. Later, moving back to the U.P., working in land clearing and logging until his retirement.

Ray loved fishing, hunting and watching the Detroit Tigers & Green Bay Packers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Henry Jr.

Ray is survived by several cousins, including a special cousin John Huff who was extremely close to Ray and considered him an uncle.

A graveside service will take place Saturday, August 11, 2018, 11:00 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery in Greenland MI. with Pastor Jay Welshonse officiating.

The Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family.
