Richard Charles Anderson passed away on August 21, 2022 at his home in Ontonagon.

Rich was born on August 30, 1956 in Ontonagon to Ed and Anita Anderson. He graduated from Ontonagon High School in 1974. He married Tammi Thomas on September 3, 2005.

Rich worked alongside his dad in the woods and eventually started his own business, Richard Anderson Logging. He enjoyed working in the woods, shooting pool, spending time with his grandchildren and his love of the Detroit Lions was second to none.

Rich is survived by his wife, Tammi, his children Missy Picotte, Joe (Shena) Anderson, stepchildren Katrina Thomas-Keteri and Alex Thomas-Keteri, grandchildren Morgan, Kadence, Yzabella, Ryker and Everlee, his siblings, Carol Perander, Jim (Kathy) Anderson, Susie (Eddie) Koski, Wendy (Dave) Menzemer, Tim (Sharon) Anderson, June (Will) Rogers, Rebecca (Tim) Oger, and Sharon Anderson. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Robert.

Richards's service is planned for Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 2 pm at the Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon, MI. Friends may call at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the start of the service. The burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Ontonagon, MI. A luncheon will take place following the burial, at the Eagles Club, 314 Quartz Street, Ontonagon.
