Obituary

Richard "Dick" Seigneurie, age 78, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Aspirus Ontonagon Long- Term Care.

Richard was born on May 14, 1930 to Russell and Gertrude. He served in the 11th Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1954. In the 1950's, 60's and 70's Richard was one of the top trap and skeet shooters of Michigan. He played semi-pro football for the Mt. Clemens Juggle Up Club ("Jugs"); one of the highlights being a charity football game against the Detroit Lions.

He belonged to the North Macomb Sportsman's Club; he was one of the founders of the Huron Point Sportsman's Club; and in the past he was a member of the Lake Superior Sportsmen's Club.

On June 23, 1951, he married Joan Kaul. They had 9 children together. Surviving Richard are his children: Richard (Kathy) of Traverse City, Michigan; Steven (Lori) of Ontonagon, Michigan; Marguerite (David) Coulter of Deckerville, Michigan; Raymond of Bradenton, Florida; Robert (Cindy) of New Baltimore, Michigan; Charles (Darlene) of New Baltimore, Michigan; sister Evelyn of Fernley, Nevada and brother Kenneth of Manistee, Michigan; 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Dorothy and Mary Ann; brother David; children Julie, Timothy and Douglas; and grandchild Rachel.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 8th 2:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fred H. Kaul Funeral Home in Roseville, MI. Funeral mass will take place Saturday 10 a.m. at St Mary Queen of Creation Catholic Church in New Baltimore, MI. Burial will be in the St Mary Queen of Creation Cemetery.
