Robert "Butch" Aho, 62, of Greenland passed away March 16, 2012 at his home.
He was born on June 7, 1949 in Hancock to parents Roy and Betty (DeHut) Aho. He served in the US Army from 1968 to his honorable discharge in 1970.
Butch enjoyed weightlifting, listening to music, watching western and horror movies and spending time in his garage. He loved working on old cars, especially his Camaro. He was also an avid fan of Dale Earnhardt and the Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Karen) Morris of Mass City, Tracie (Shawn) Nummilien of Rock, Steve Aho of Gladstone, and Jeanie (Michael) Saari of Mass City; grandchildren, Deric, Dylan and Drew Morris, Kelsie and Kayla Nummilien, and Kylie and Allison Saari. He is also survived by a sister, Debbie (Jack) Short of Winona; brother, Kevin (Patty) Aho of Ontonagon; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Betty; and his wife, Susan (Lockhart) Aho.
A memorial service for Butch will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Greenland, with Pastor Bruce Steinberg officiating.
