Robert Allan Cooke 59 of Ontonagon, MI passed away while in the Long Term Care Facility at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital on April 30, 2008.

Robert was born in Muncie, Indiana to Robert & Rosemary Cooke on April 27, 1949. He resided in Indiana throughout high school and while attending Taylor University. He moved on and received his B.A. from the University of New York at Buffalo. From there he transferred to the University of Chicago where he received his M.A. and PhD. He taught college classes at Indiana University Northwest, Northern Michigan University, and University of Kentucky and finally ended his teaching career at DePaul University in Chicago.
