Ronald Chamberlain 77 of White Pine passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 1, 2007 at his home.
He was born September 14, 1930 in Racine, MN to the late William and Esther (Cooper) Chamberlain. After graduating high school, Ron joined the Air Force. He served during the Korean War. After 4 years in the service, Ron worked as a butcher in California and was united in marriage to the former Arlene Kahn. Together with their two daughters, they moved back to the Midwest, settling in Chicago. There he operated his own business in the wholesale meat industry. Arlene preceded him in death in 1983. Ron retired in January 2001 and moved to the White Pine area in February 2001. He had resided there until his passing.
Ron is survived by his 2 daughters Lori White & LeeAnn Romanelli, grandchildren Shane and Emily White and Mathew, Brian and Peter Romanelli, brother Phillip Chamberlain, sister Joanne Heiser, half-sister Phyllis Milbrandt, step sister Carol Joyner, step brother Marvin Eppard, step sister Marlis Glover and partner Jane Bowen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Arlene.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 23, 2007 at Noon from the White Pine Community United Methodist Church, Pastor Rosemary DeHut officiating. Inurnment will take place in the family plot in Racine, MN. In lue of flowers, donations may be made to the Laura Manderson Medical Fund at the Citizens State Bank in Ontonagon. The Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family.
