Ruth Podkomorka, 82, went to the Lord on September 27, 2007.

She was born to Max and Adele Klein on December 3, 1924 in Marienburg, Germany. She was a good, caring mother.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Jan (John). They immigrated to America in 1952.

Surviving are her two sisters, Bergita Wulf of Witzwort, Germany and Susan Schroeder of Honolulu, Hawaii; her four children, sons Michael (Sandy) Podkomorka of Pleasanton, California, Frank Podkomorka of Ontonagon, Ed Podkomorka of Ontonagon and daughter, Jeanne (Ed) Picotte of Ontonagon; six grandchildren, Christine (Mark) Stone of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Gillian, Francesca, Charlie, Jonathan and Amanda. Cane Funeral home was in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Services were held at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Anthony officiating.
