Sanfrid "Sandy" N. Alaperet 82 of Mass City, MI passed away September 05, 2009 in Two Rivers, WI surrounded by his loving family.

He was born November 27, 1926 son of the late John & Saima (Perttunen) Alaperet. Sandy was a graduate of Mass City High School. He married the former Doris Kirmse on June 2, 1950 at Waubeka Community Church in WI.

Sandy served in the Navy in WW II. He also worked as a heavy equipment operator on the Island of Greenland. He was a self employed landscaper and excavating operator in the local area. Sandy was a member of the Masons, NRA and the MI/WI Antique Power Association,

He is survived by his son Gene Sr. (Sue), one grandson Gene, Jr. (Kim), 2 granddaughters Lorie Alaperet and Kimberly (John, Jr.) Kulpa, 2 great-granddaughters Katelyn & Jordyn Kulpa all of Two Rivers, former daughter-in-law Jackie Alaperet and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sandy was precede in death by his parents, loving wife Doris on July 8, 2002, 4 brothers and an infant sister.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 4 p.m. at the Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Masonic service will be held Friday evening. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Greenland.
