Sharon Lorraine (Ernest) Heerdegen, 67, of Ontonagon passed away July 3, 2013 at her home.

Sharon was born February 2, 1946 in Ontonagon to Lawrence and Donna (Thompson) Ernest. She worked as a cook for many years, and was considered by her family to be the best and fastest cook in Ontonagon. Sharon had a contagious laugh and was always willing to give anyone a helping hand. She was a great hostess, and enjoyed playing bingo and working in her flower garden.

Sharon is survived by her husband Bill; children Chuck, Keith (Teresa), Sandy (Curt) and Dean; grandchildren Amanda "Bug", Payton, Missy, Joey, Derek, Michael, Ashley and Adam; great-grandchildren Jamas, Morgan, Kadence and Yzabella; brother Rich (Tina) Ernest and twin brother Norman (Barb) Ernest. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Larry and Donny. Sharon will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sharon's family would like to thank Dr. Ghanem and the nurses and staff who were so kind to her during her illness.
