Shirley Pattison, 83, of Greenland went to be with her Lord on July 29, 2012 at the Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital Long Term Care Unit.

She was born on October 9, 1928 in Detroit, MI to parents John and Mae(Mattson) Kaikko. During her Senior Year of High School, she moved to Mass City and graduated from the Mass High School. She then graduated from Michigan Technological University and worked as a Registered Nurse at Ontonagon Memorial Hospital for 27 years. Shirley was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Mass City.

In 1946, she married John "Jack" Pattison. He preceded her in death. Shirley was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Mae; daughter, Jan; and brother, Arnold "Bud" Kaikko.

She is survived by her children, Darlene (Melvin) Jolliff, John Pattison and friend Lori, Cheryl (Dave) Somero, Terry (Larry) Bagazin, and Patrick (Joan) Pattison; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Diana Kaikko; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Shirley will be held Thursday, August 2 at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Mass City, with Pastor John Autio presiding. Inurnment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery. The Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family.
