Susan Ann (Schober) Penegor, of Ontonagon, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin on June 8, 2022, she was 66.

Susan was born in Ontonagon on February 18, 1956, daughter of Bill and Donna (Hoefferle) Schober.

She married Bruce Penegor on October 6, 1978, at the Rockland Catholic Church, then made their home in Rockland and had two children, a daughter and son.

For many years Susan ran a foster home where they took in 60 children over the years and adopted 5 of them. Susan was known for her cooking and baking skills. She had a huge heart and helped anyone who needed it without hesitation.

Susan is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years Bruce, daughter Jamie (Schober) Corey, son Bruce (Jessi) Penegor Jr., daughters; Gina & Wendy, 2 sons; Bernard & Robert; her Dad Bill Schober, sister Lisa Lindberg and a brother David Schober. She was very close to her grandson Chris and grand-daughter Elizabeth Penegor; Grandchildren Carter, Lillie, Victoria Dujhan, Braylen and Quintine. She loved all of her grandkids.

Susan was preceded in death by her Mother Donna, brothers Randy and Jerry, sister Heidi, and one son Arthur.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockland on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 11:00am, with visitation starting at 10:00am until the start of the service.

Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Rockland following the church service.
