Sylvia Jezuit, 89 of Ontonagon (formerly of Ewen) passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital Long Term Care Unit.

She was born on October 29, 1925 in Ramsay, MI to Thomas and Helen (Sallman) Anderson. Sylvia was a homemaker who loved cooking, sewing, visiting friends and coffee klatching, and making all types of crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; children Jack Haataja, Elaine Hash, and Robert Hash, Jr.; and brother William (Betty) Anderson.

Sylvia is survived by her children Chuck (Debbie) Haataja, Nancy (Armas) Ojaniemi, Thomas Alden (Kristin) Haataja, Jerry Haataja, Pixie (Michael) Daggett, Kerry (Joseph) Cronkright and Lawrence Hash; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

A Memorial Service for Sylvia will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Cane Funeral Home in Bruce Crossing, with Pastor Ted Trudgeon officiating.
