Obituary

Timothy Edward Kemppainen, 60, of Mass City, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2020.  Tim was born December 10, 1959 in Ishpeming, MI, to the late Benharte Edward Kemppainen and JoAnne (Cox-Kemppainen) Perrow.  Tim grew up in Mass City with his siblings Bonnie Kemppainen-Maki, Ben Kemppainen, Randy Kemppainen and Bobi Jo Perrow-Niemi.

Tim married his high school sweetheart, Joan Dahlstrom on March 1st, 1980.  Tim and Joan made their home in Novi, Michigan in 1983, where Tim was employed with J S Trudeau Concrete Forming as a Mechanical Logistic Supervisor.  Together they raised their son, Brian (Tracy) Kemppainen and Lyndsay (Joseph Poirier) Kemppainen.

Tim and Joan returned to the Mass City area in 2008, where Tim worked along side his brother Randy for Kemppainen Concrete & Carpentry.

Tim is survived by his wife, Joan Kemppainen of Mass City, MI; his son Brian (Tracy) Kemppainen of New Hudson, MI; his daughter, Lyndsay Kemppainen (Joseph Poirier) of Garden City, MI; his mother, JoAnne Perrow of Ontonagon, MI; his Brothers; Ben (GayLynn) Kemppainen of Greenland, MI and Randy (Julia)  Kemppainen of Mass City, MI as well as his sisters; Bonnie (Chuck) Maki of Ontonagon, MI and Bobi Jo Niemi (Derrick Juntti) of Greenland, MI.  Tim was the proud Grandfather of Sophia Poirier, Benjamin Kemppainen and Abigail Kemppainen.

Tim was preceded in death by his Father, Benharte Edward Kemppainen, his maternal Grandparents, Ray and Jean Cox, and paternal Grandparents Edward Kemppainen & Aili Mattson.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.  Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements
