Toivo John Jarvi of Calumet, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 26, 2021. He was 97 years old.

Toivo was born May 21,1924 to Henry and Maria Jarvi in Trout Creek. He was in the Navy and served in World War 2. He married Alice Ranta on March 26,1949 in Detroit, MI. While in Detroit, he worked as a carpenter. He had two sons, Alan and James, who both preceded him in death. He retired to Trout Creek in 1983. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and loved to spend his retirement time fishing, cutting wood and playing cards.

Toivo is survived by his wife Alice, 2 grandsons and 4 great grandchildren: a daughter in law Leslie Jarvi and multiple nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by two sons, Alan and James: a sister Helen and two brothers Reino and William.

The family is planning a private burial.
