Tony Norczyk, 54 of Ontonagon, loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at Marquette General Hospital with his family by his side and his grandchildren in his heart.

Tony was born in Ontonagon, MI to James and Bertha (Store) Norczyk on November 23, 1959. He went to Ontonagon Area Schools, graduating in 1977. Tony worked at the paper mill in Ontonagon for 31 years until it closed in 2010, and was currently employed at Associated Constructors in Marquette. Tony had a love for sports, animals and automobilies. Tony loved his daughters with all of his heart. At the center of his world and the lights of his life were his three grandchildren whom he lived for everyday. Throughout the last eight years, Tony dedicated his life to being the best grandpa anyone could ever have. He was happiest when he was spending time with his grandchildren, who all loved him more than words could ever explain. Tony was also very close with his brother and many life long friends, along with always being there for his parents. Tony spent many days on the beach swimming, jetskiing, throwing sticks for his four legged companions and having bonfires with his family and friends. Tony had participated in dartball, pool league and softball. He also coached Ontonagon Girl's Softball for his daughters for many years.

Tony is preceded in death by his grandparents, an aunt and two uncles.

Tony is survived by his daughters, Stephanie (Mark) Pantti of Marquette, MI and Shana of Independence, MO, his beloved grandchildren Nicklas, Natalie, and Sheyenne, his parents James and Bertha and brother Tim, along with his golden retriever Daiquiri.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Ontonagon VFW at 4 pm. The family will be having a private burial service at a separate time.

Tony will be greatly missed but never forgotten. He will be forever loved and in the hearts of his family and friends ALWAYS.
