TYYNE E. SKIBA 89 of Bruce Crossing passed away saturday sept 16th in L'Anse.

She was born February 19, 1917 in Ironwood to the late John and Mary (Wiitala) Halmes.

Tyyne graduated from Eagle River High School and on September 1, 1939. She married Joseph Skiba and they made their home in Bruce Crossing.

Tyyne was a member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church of Bruce Crossing and the ladies aide, a member of the American Legion auxillary and the D.A.V. auxillary of Ewen. She also served Haight Township as Clerk.

Tyyne was employed by the Ontonagon Valley Creamery as a bookkeeper, Toomey's nursery in Watersmeet, and was a Physical Therapist in Ontonagon.

Tyyne is survived by several grandchildren, numerous great grand children, and several nephews and nieces.

Tyyne was preceeded in death by her husband Joseph, her son Robert Brent, 7 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services for Tyyne will be held Wednesday Sept. 20 2 p.m. at the Apostolic Lutheran Church in Bruce Crossing with Rev. Elmer R. Liimatta of Chassel officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be in Maple Groove cemetery, Bruce Crossing.

In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in her name at the church. The Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon is assisting the family
