Viola Wolfe of Ewen Michigan passed away on Feb 9th 2025, at Westgate Nursing Home in Ironwood, Michigan.

She was born on May 18th, 1940, in Harbor Springs Michigan to Clair and Marcella Streeter. She was married to George Wolfe and together they had two sons Tom and Jeff.

In their early years they worked and lived in Racine Wisconsin, until they purchased the Wolfe family farm. Vi and George worked side by side on the farm until they quit milking cows. She then opened up an upholstery business for several years and even taught a class. She then decided on a career change and went to nursing school. After school she worked at Ontonagon Memorial Hospital for the next 25 years.

Viola is survived by her sons Tom [Dawn], Jeff and Grandsons Mattthew and Benjamin. She is further survived by her brother Bud [Sandy] Streeter, her sister Mary Snyder, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband George, her parents Clair and Marcella Streeter, her brother Jake Streeter and a niece Sherry Streeter and nephew Todd Wolfe.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ewen, on May 17th, Saturday at 11:00am. Visitation is from 10:00 - 11:00.  Internment will immediately follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ewen. A luncheon at the church will occur following the burial.
