Violet Shirley Brusso, 83, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital L.T.C.U. Violet was born in Ontonagon, MI October 21, 1934 to Eli and Hulda (Sorenen) Kanniainen.

As a young girl she moved to Calumet MI where she met her future husband Dallas Brusso.  Violet graduated from Calumet High School class of 1952.  She married Dollar on March 26, 1953.  They lived in Milwaukee, WI until 1957 when they moved to Ontonagon and farmed for 58 years.  Violet also worked at the Ontonagon County Equalization office.

Violet is survived by her Grandaughter Alana Beck of Culver City, California and numerous neices and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Dallas and her only daughter Diane, her brother Paul, Carl and her sisters Doris Radovich, Helen Ruuti and her parents.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Cane Funeral Home, Ontonagon, MI from 1:00 PM until time of service at 2:00PM. with Pastor Kay Richter officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
