Virginia A. Sjogren 79 of N. Agate Rd Trout Creek, MI passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at Aspirus Grand View Hospital in Ironwood.

She was born on June 02, 1934 to Wainio & Emma (Gustafson) Kananen in Agate, MI. In June of 1952 Virginia married the late John B. Sjogren.

Virginia loved to talk on the phone to her family and friends. She liked to cook, can and bake. Virginia was a fan of the Jan Tucker Radio Show. She called in to the radio program nearly every morning with the weather conditions from her home on N. Agate Road. Virginia especially enjoyed talking to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son John (Ellen), daughters Lucille Sjogren & Sheryl (Rikhard) Pottala, grandchildren Alex. Joshua (Trista) & Katie Sjogren, Jessica (Skip) Anderson & Kimberly Keyser, great-grandchildren Melissa Anderson & Layla Roman, sister Shirley (Jack) Matthews and sister-in-laws Ann Kananen & Patti Kananen.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband John Sjogren and brothers Bob & Ron Kananen.

Funeral Services will take place at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Trout Creek, MI on Friday, November 22nd at Noon EST. Friends may call at the church 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Burial will be in the Agate Cemetery in Trout Creek, MI. Luncheon will follow at the church hall.
