Wendi K. Hayes, 42, of Ontonagon passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2011 in Ontonagon.

Wendi was born in Royal Oak, Michigan to Audrey Hayes on May 9, 1968. She graduated from Mid-Peninsula High School with the class of 1986. Wendi went on to become a Certified Nurse's Aide and worked at Maple Manor. She also held jobs as a nanny in Vermont and bartender at Stubb's Bar in Ontonagon. Wendi's love was her children, Alora and Johna. She also enjoyed playing pool, camping, and spending time with her family, especially at family reunions.

Wendi is survived by her children, Alora Erin and Johna Lynn Marks; and partner, Ed Macomber and his children, Eddie Macomber and Jon Moilanen. She is also survived by her mother, Audrey Hayes; sisters, Ginny Rimolde and Viki Branstrom; many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, John and Esther Kukkola; step-grandmother Mayme Kukkola, nieces Erin Maki and Becky Psick and nephew Ki Psick.

Funeral services for Wendi will take place Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Cane Funeral Home, with Pastor Howard Neider and Reverend Jeannie Manning officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
