Wendy Gay Rahkola 50 of Ontonagon passed away unexpectedly at her home August 14, 2007.

She was born October 13, 1956 in Milwaukee, WI.

Wendy had worked at Ontonagon Memorial Hospital for 10 years. It was there she met her husband Rick, who was also an employee.

Wendy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, tending to her garden, canning and pickling. But most of all she loved to spend time with her son and granddaughter.

Wendy will be remembered for her loving nature and her kindness to everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Rahkola on May 2, 2007, her parents Leon & Arbutus (Cole) Havens, brothers Leon, Terry and Brian and her nephew Leon Havens, Jr.

Wendy is survived by her son Geoffrey Rahkola, her granddaughter Mikayla Rose, sister Mary Havens, brothers Ross, Jerry, Bruce and Chris Havens, several nieces and nephews and her mother-in-law Florence Rahkola.

A celebration of life will be held at the Rahkola residence Sunday, August 19th at 2p.m.
