Anna Butina of White Pine, Michigan, passed away on July 3, 2020 at Grand View Hospital in Ironwood, Michigan. She was 98 years old.
Anna was born in Germany to Julius and Anna Herrndorf on November 12, 1921. She was married to George Butina until he passed away in 1983. She was a Beautician for many years.
She had a green thumb when it came to growing flowers and plants and couldn’t wait til spring to start planting. She was also a very talented seamstress, and good cook. Her faith in God was a very important part of her life and prayed her rosary every day.
Anna was known to her Grandchildren as “OMA” which means Grandma in German. Her grandchildren are Matthew (Megan) Hagen, Joe (Shelby) Husar, Mitch Butina, Dylan Butina, and Justin Kinnunen; and great grandchild Myles Hagen.
Anna is survived by her children John (Laurie) Butina and Ann Marie (Dennis) Husar.
Anna is preceded in death by her husband George, both of her parents, Julius and Anna, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 9th at 11 a.m. at St. Jude's Catholic Church in White Pine, Michigan. Friends may call at the church 1 hour prior to the start of Mass. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in South Range, Michigan.
