Cyal Wascher Obituary

Cyal Samuel Wascher, 24 of Greenland passed away as a result of a tragic automobile accident on Friday, August 26, 2022.

He was born in Hancock to Dean and Lena (Niamtu) Wascher on April 15, 1998. He graduated from Ewen Trout-Creek High School in 2016. He entered the Navy following graduation. After the service, he worked as a logger, as a powder coater and then at North Woods Meat Processing of Greenland. In 2022 he graduated from the Michigan Department of Corrections Academy and was currently employed as a corrections officer at the Baraga Correctional Facility.

He is survived by his parents Dean and Lena, his fiance' Nikki Born of Greenland and their daughter Octavia Wascher. Two brothers Cole and Cory Wascher of Greenland; grandfather Willis Penfold of Mayville, niece Evelyn Wascher of Rockland, Grandma Rose (Wayne) Isaacson of Calumet; Aunt Tina of Georgia, Uncle Mike of Calumet, Aunt Doreen of Michigan, Aunt Tammy (Glenn) Finley of Mass City; special cousins Richard and April Wascher of Greenland and several other cousins.

He was preceded in death by Grandmother Carol Penfold, Grandfather Russ Niamtu and Grandfather Alan Perrault.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
