James J. Metos

James J. Metos 90 of Bruce Crossing, MI passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital.

He was born on May 20, 1930 to the late Thomas & Jenny (Pelkola) Metos. Jim was married to the former Beverly Devroy who preceded him in death.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting in the area. Jim worked on the farm when he was younger. He then worked as a logger, continuing to work in the woods into his early 80's. Jim was also well know for his love of cats.

He is survived by his brother Alex (Brenda), sisters Katherine Moilanen, Effie Thomas, Dorothy Metos & Sylvia (Sam) Sain & brother Thomas (Cis).

Jim was preceded in death by his parents,wife Beverly, 2 sisters Mary Decur & Jenny Koski and 3 brothers Robert, George & John.

A  graveside service will be held  at Agate Cemetery in Agate, MI Saturday, June 20 at 11 AM.

The Cane Funeral Home-Bruce Crossing Chapel is assisting the family.
