Jared David Skoviak, born in White Pine, MI on November 18, 1977 went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2022.
He came into this world in such a hurry and left us too soon. Mrs. Paoli, a nurse, delivered him while the doctor was scrubbing up.
He is survived by his parents, Joann and Frano Skoviak of White Pine, MI, Julie (Pete) Smith of Appleton, WI, Laurie (Ted) Rhoades of Green Bay, WI, Steve Skoviak of Wausau, WI, and; Bernie (Pauline) Skoviak of Green Bay, WI along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He graduated from White Pine in 1997 and then attended Michigan State University to study a degree in Agriculture.
Jared moved to Wyandotte, Michigan where he worked for the past 20+ years at Worthington Steel. He was cherished by his company as a loyal and dedicated worker that always showed up with a smile.
He loved the outdoors, hiking, biking, trains and was an avid photographer. He loved coming to the U.P. in the fall to take pictures of the beautiful colors and also traveling to different places throughout Michigan. He loved family and attending family events.
Jared was a devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Those that knew him describe him as a genuine character and a good friend who was always happy to see you. He had an effect that he could be the funniest person without trying to be the main attraction. Jared did not try conforming to the group yet marched to his own drumbeat that was endearing. He was cherished by those that knew him well and was kind to all. Patient, Loyal and Unique. He will be greatly missed.
A funeral will be held at Cane Funeral Home on Monday, October 10, 2022 at 11:00am, with visitation from 10:00am to 11:00am. The burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery, in Ontonagon.
