Lois Dupie Obituary

Lois Dupie passed away peacefully at Ontonagon Aspirus Long Term Care Unit on August 2, 2021 at the age of 92. Lois was born in Mellen. WI to Nettie and Louis Mosler on January 21, 1929. They moved to Ontonagon when she was about six years old. Her Dad was the barn boss at the sawmill and she would take her nieces and nephews over to see the horses. She loved to go to the movies with Dad.

Lois and John were married September 18, 1946 and were the parents of Bobby, Sissy(Janelle), Lorell, Johnny, Jerry, Joseph, Amy and Joni. Lois was a great cook and baker. While they lived on the farm, she made fresh butter, cottage cheese and lots of cheese cakes. She made many batches of homemade bread and cinnamon rolls. They had lots of eggs, fresh meat and lots of garden vegetables. Many jars of jams and jellies, apple sauce and vegetables were "put up" each year. Our Dad loved her rhubarb sauce. A pot of coffee was always on and "something to go with".

In 1990 she attended classes and got her high school diploma. She was very proud of that. She took some college courses in the evening and loved to write stories.

She was an active member of the Eagles. She especially enjoyed helping with the pasty making. She and Virginia would start very early in the morning on "peeling" day and soon Patsy and Ella would come to help. She would go down to help up until she was nearly 90 years old.

She was a member of the dart ball league for a few years. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing the polka and creating cute Halloween costumes.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband John, sons Bobby, Joseph and Johnny, daughters Janelle and Joni, and grandchildren Bobby, Amber, Will and Jake.

Lois was also preceded in death by her siblings Julia, George, Bob, Margaret, Marie, Dottie & John.

She is survived by her daughter Lorell (Jack) and their daughter Julie, daughter-in-law Diane (Johnny) and their daughters Heather (Mark) and theirs sons Jacob and John. Daughter Renee and her son Elijah and her daughter Esera and her children Nayeli, Nelena, Noah and Ensley. Daughter Nikki (Eric) and their daughters Mylee and Maddy, son Joe (Morgan) and daughter Amy.

Her son Jerry and his daughter Angela and her daughter Aurora and son Forest.

Her daughter Amy and her son Carl and his son Kyle, daughters Joni and Katie and her son Lucas.

She has many nieces and nephews. She has a lifelong friend Vivian with whom she shared many happy times.
