Marilyn (Pierce) Ross 89 of Mass City passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Canal View Nursing Home in Hancock, MI
Marilyn was born on May 17, 1934 in Iron River, MI to the late William & Alisa (Linna) Pierce. She attended school in Iron River. On November 25, 1971 she married Clyde Ross. The couple made their home in Mass City, MI. Clyde and Marilyn owned and operated Ross Clothing in Mass City for 21 years. She was also an excellent baker and cook. Marilyn always had coffee pot on along with fresh bakery.
Marilyn is survived by Sandra (Mike) Trudeau-Coffey, Patricia Trudeau-Sisler, Greg (Renee) Tarnowski and Debbie Tarnowski, 5 step children Laverne Pestka, Carol Howie, Julie Gessrt, Laurie (Jeff) Pollard and Glenn Ross, sister Betty Applin along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Ross, sons Randy & Steve Trudeau, sister Marjorie Carlson, nephews Phillup Carlson and Mike Applin, granddaughter Alicia Tarnowski-Sullivan, brother in laws Vince Carlson and Ben Applin, niece Lin Carlson, step son Albert Clyde Ross, Jr. and son in law Larry Sisler.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 1 pm at the Cane Funeral Home in Ontonagon. Friends may call at the Funeral Home 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Burial will be in the Rousseau Cemetery, with a luncheon at Greg and Renee Tarnowski's home in East Branch to follow.
