Obituary

Mildred (Millie) Fannie Gasparac (Peltola), of White Pine, MI passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, November 11, 2022 at the age of 104. Her youngest son Tony, whom she called Sonny, was there by her side.

Mildred was born in Redridge, MI to Matt and Fannie A. (Sorvala) Peltola on April 22, 1918. She attended Adams Township School. Mildred married Anthony Rudolph Gasparac in Painesdale, MI on April 9, 1939.

Mildred leaves behind her 3 children Jerry (Carol Thieme), Diane and Tony Gasparac, as well as her 3 grandchildren Debbie (Francisco Jr.) Mandujano, Jill and Karen Gasparac. Also survived by 3 great-Grandchildren Brooke Gasparac, Paul Gasparac and Tiffany (Nickolas) Numinen and further survived by 2 great, great-Grandchildren Destin Moss (Karen) and Dominic Quantrell (Brooke).

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Anthony Rudolph Gasparac, daughter-in-law Pat (Sorvari) Gasparac, 5 sisters Hilda, Edna, Eleanor, Irene, Esther and a brother Rudolph. Her parents Matt and Fannie A. (Sorvola) Peltola.

We are grateful to have been blessed with such an amazing woman who was also an aunt, cousin, friend and role model. She was kind, compassionate, witty, generous and patient. Her love was evident in everything she did from sewing to crafting in the garage with her husband in the summer months to bedazzling before it was cool.

Millie collected die-cast minature pencil sharpeners, porcelain dolls, and music boxes and crystal figures.

Millie enjoyed talking on the telephone, every opportunity to be a pen pal and music. She loved to cook with her husband and bake for him. She especially made the holidays memorable. She had such a unique way of making each and every person in her life know just how important they were.

Our Heavenly Father has called her home, through the pearly white gates, to be with her loving husband in Heaven for all of eternity.

A Celebration of their lives will be held at a later date to be announced.

Arrangements are by Cane Funeral Home which will maintain a web page to share your favorite memories.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Aspirus Hospice at: Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services, 520 N. 32nd Street, Wausau, WI 54401.
