Patricia Aline (Stripe) Simons went to see her Lord on Friday, October 14, 2022.
Pat was born on Friday March 13, 1931 and was a graduate of Ontonagon High School class of 1948 and shortly after left Ontonagon to start her degree at Michigan State University in Lansing. Life had other plans and after a year in Lansing she met her husband, Fred Simons and they began to build a family. Throughout her life Patricia has worn many hats, she was a champion seamstress and shooter who was also an active member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, St. Vincent DePaul, Ontonagon Museum, and the Ontonagon Lighthouse. Always the traveler she has lived all over Michigan and Wisconsin, she was able to travel to various state and countries thanks to her children.
Later in life she was less of the world traveler, but was able to fill her time by going back to her seamstress roots. In Between tending to her “God’s Garden” and various other flower beds around her property. She would make dresses, stuffed animals, hot pan holders, you name it she could sew it.
She was preceded in death by her parents Larwrence and Patricia Stripe, brother Lawrence Stripe Jr., son Theodore (Terry) Simons, Grandson Wesley Simons, Great Granddaughter Olivia Reany.
She will be dearly missed by her children; Fred (Anne) Simons, Michael (Renee) Simons, Steven (Patricia) Simons, Patricia (Alan) Teetzen, Peter (Ronda) Simons, her 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Holy Family Church in Ontonagon with Father Jacobus officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00am, with the Mass following at 11:00am. Committal rites will be held at the Holy Family Cemetery in Ontonagon.
