Please accept my sympathies for the loss of Doris. I always enjoyed Doris when I worked at Long Term Care. She always made me smile or chuckle, a bright spot in my day.

I will miss your Mom so much. She has truly been one of my favorite pals here and there was not a day that went by that she could make me smile and I loved that I could make her laugh. I will cherish our years together and her sense of humor was priceless. You were wonderful kids to your Mom and how she loved you all dearly. I am so sorry I could not make her funeral but I am so glad Candy allowed me some time with her after she passed. She will be missed by all of us at LTCU, she was a big part of our family here. I will make a donation in her memory here, she was so kind and always wanted to be gracious to others.

Doris was the mom everyone wished for. I was very lucky to spend lots of my high school weekends at the Cane house. She always had a listening ear, a comfortable hug and a great sense of humor. She was very easy going, allowing us to have the best times in high school. As time went on and her health started to fail, she never stopped smiling and looking at the good in life. That is what I will always remember about Doris Cane. Nothing could get her down. I think she passed that trait on to her children. God bless Doris and the wonderful life she lead. She is in good company up in heaven.

Yes, he did adore her! They are exchanging birthday greetings! I know for a fact, because they both always told me so. Both with that devilish grin on their faces, the one that you knew they really adored each other and were great friends! I will miss both forever. So lucky to have them both in my life from day one. They taught me a very lot! Doris gave me an unconditional love, forever and always, I know that, and I felt the same about her.

I was one of those who adored your mom. It was so fun to go visit Candy and I always felt welcomed in the Cane home. Doris was a fantastic mom and I still remember the day she watched my son, Brian, just so I could attend a school function during what should have been my senior year in high school. She was so special to so many. I am heartbroken for her family, as I know this will be very difficult for them. God Bless all of you. Liz

I have known Doris who was a really good person, raising her children and Lyal was the provider that gave this family life. Doris parents were also well known by myself. I spent many hours around the Home and Funeral Home, having many daily very good times with Doris. I watched as her children grew, which she took great pride in. I am so sad of hearing this news, but know the entire family is in my prayers at this special loss.

My heart is breaking a bit today. I feel some contentment knowing that Doris is again with her beloved boys and Lyle. I hope to think that she is also having coffee and birthday cake with Jane. Take comfort in her love, and smile at the memories, I know that I will. She was more than special to me and I will miss her dearly. I will see her smile when I think of her. Hugs and love to you all.
