I was truly sorry to hear of John's passing. You are all in my prayers. Lately, the Lord has been calling many of his best servants home. I know that he will be deeply missed by my parents and many others. God Bless you.

To all of you...
It is with heart felt sympathy that I must post this. We all know that one day the Lord will take from us what he has given. John is now home with the Lord and probably smiling down at all of us. I can just hear that deep laugh of his echoing in my ears. I am so sorry for the loss all of his family must go through but bare in mind, the great memories he has left you will help to ease the hurt. I too have many funny stories to remember John by. Most of these stories pertain to all of the many hours he and Nancy spent at many many hockey games over the years. I also remember getting kicked out of a hockey game because "Grandpa John" motivated me when he spoke loud to address a situation that was getting out of hand and I called the little ref a pipsqueak and I was asked to leave. John...you can now wear the pink dress Michael picked out for you because no one cares in Heaven. You will be missed by many John. Have a wonderful afterlife and save a seat for the rest of us!

How sad to hear of John's passing. There are great memories of our old Rockland Road neighborhood – our house anchored one end of the block and the Labyaks anchored the other – and John was such a big part of those memories. Our last encounter, at brother Pete's 50th anniversary last July, was full of laughter and teasing, as usual. We share your sorrow at the passing of a good man and a good friend.

We are sorry to hear about John. He was a positive influence on me as a youngster working on the farm and when he would take me bird hunting. He was a good wing shooter. You have our sympathy and are in our thoughts and prayers.
