Lucas Jay Kosey, 28, passed away at his home in Ontonagon on Thursday, May 5, 2016.
He was born in Ontonagon on June 16, 1987.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wallace and Alice Kosey of Ontonagon.
He is survived by his father, Jay Kosey, Ontonagon, his mother, Lisa Mankin (Tony), Billings, MT, his stepfather, Jerry Tarnowski, Centennial, CO, maternal great grandmother, Mary Schmaus, Rockland and maternal grandparents, Howard and Carole Walters, Ontonagon. He is also survived by his siblings, Jacelyn Pietila (Rick) of Vienna, Austria, Tony Tarnowski (Majlis), Cannon AFB, NM, Adam Tarnowski, Centennial, CO, Travis Kosey, Ontonagon, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Having possessed a great appreciation for the outdoors, Lucas was fortunate to have lived in Lake Tahoe, NV and the Denver, CO area while growing up. Though, his favorite place has always been our Beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He enjoyed camping, boating, hunting and fishing. He, also enjoyed every holiday, and mostly, any time spent with his siblings.
He will be sadly missed by all those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
A remembrance gathering and burial will be held at a later date.
