On the upcoming anniversary of your passing onto the great beyond, I miss you. I miss our phone conversations, our inside jokes, our laughter, our sharing our lives. Sometimes I just want to pick up the phone to 'call Nancy' and realize I can't. You were the best friend this Yooper could ever hope for and am so lucky we had the time together. Hugs to you, your mom, Ruth, dad, Albert, brother Bobby... Hope you all are having some good ole dandyline wine and coffee and watching us earthly mortals living the dream. Til we meet .. 'Mutt' ... Thinking of you and missing ya..'Jeff' Lil

In many ways my Aunt Nancy was the typical person, working hard at her job to provide for her family, was kind, thoughtful, etc.. . She had her likes and dislikes, just like we all do. However, with my aunt, she was different than most people, she was fearless. Even in situations that were not in her favor, she would continue to move forward without any complaints. She would always make you laugh, lend a helping hand or just simple be there for you even if she had something else to do or if she wasn't feeling the greatest. This is why she is different than most people and what I am trying to emulate each day, because there isn't enough time in life not to be fearless each day. I know I am a better person for having her in my life and I know that I will try to honor her legacy just like the rest of her family and friends. In short, please take time to think about the memories you have had with her and try to recreate them with others, just like she would, regardless if you are busy or not. This would be the best way to honor my aunt.

My Godmother, Nanny and one of my best friends is now at peace. We shared March 18 birthday as we are 15 years apart to the day. Nanny will no longer suffer from her illness. The strength she had to endure all the pain with a smile and never complained is a true statement of courage. She was full of fun, laughter and love. She reached out to others in need with a caring heart. Nanny enjoyed several forms of card and board games which she enjoyed playing with her friends and family. Her talent was working with her hands from crocheting, kitting, sewing/mending, gardening and old fashion hard work. We enjoyed projects together which was known as “SISU TIME” which meant business. We had several fun times out dancing, strawberry picking, beach or giving others a reason to laugh out loud.
I am sending love, hugs and prayers to my cousins Keith and Jolene along with their family in their time of sorrow. To my mother I know you have lost your best friend and sister remember your children and grandchildren are just a phone call or drive away to support you in this time of sorrow. To Nanny sisters Peggy and Cathy along with her brother Billy and their families I wish you deepest sympathy.
May my Nanny’s journey to Heaven be pain free, full of joy and peace. Only time will mend this deep ache/void in my heart. See you later Nanny, Love Colleen

I am so very sorry to hear the passing of Nancy. My heart breaks. She was such an awesome person and dear friend, with a great sense of humor. She could make you laugh on the drop of a dime. Was so glad to see her a few times in the last couple of years. We will miss you greatly Nancy. Just last fall I was reading letters that I had kept, after she had graduated and moved away. Hugs and love to her dear children and grandchildren. Sally and Colleen there is an empty place in your heart....you were so close. It is because of the 2 of you that I got to know Nancy so well. My heart goes out to you. Hugs. Love you.

So very sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. She was a good friend when she lived here. Lost touch through the years. The family has our deepest condolences. I would be there but I have to work that day. Nancy will be sadly missed. We went through a lot together when we were both pregnant with our oldest. I will always remember her in my heart. RIP Nancy
