So glad we had the chance to meet Bob's family. But so sorry it had to be at his memorial service. He was older than us, but he was always so kind to my Mom and visited her in Midland a couple times. Wish I could have had the chance to know him better - he sounds like he was such a wonderful man especially to his daughters. It was a very memorable service. I taped a lot of it. So moving with taps and the gun salute.

So sad to hear of Bobs passing. We shared a lot of experiences during our teen years growing up in Merrill. The "black Bridge" swimming hole, our "Chicken Coop" shack, Blue Jay Cafe all contributed to our teenage bonding.
We arrive in Milwaukee the day of his grave side services so will not make it to Ontonagon. We will pray for Betty and his family.

I was informed by Larry Schoch of Robert's passing. My condolences to the family. I will be in Ontonagon after the fourth of July and am sorry that I will not be there to attend the graveside service and meet the family. I feel your grief as my husband just passed away.
