I have known Tracy through my work as a dietitian and diabetes educator for nearly twenty years. Tracy faced a multitude of challenges in that time, and what I love about her is that she always kept trying. I remember her as kind and gentle, frustrated at times, but almost always accepting of whatever reality she was facing. With a warm heart, I remember her fondly.

My heart is with Tracy's family. I haven't seen Tracy in many years, but I remember well the little girl who lived out loud and on purpose. She taught me how to take a proper drag on a cigarette around 1981 -- not a habit I kept after the age of 10, but we sure had fun during those sleepovers at the Huotari compound back in the day. We'd sleep 4 girls, head to toe on the fold-down dining table bed on their camper, playing truth or dare and laughing until the wee hours. She always had a smile and a heart wide open. I am so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in each other and I'm the joy she brought you.
