I enjoyed visiting with Dutch very much. I loved his stories about his childhood, his WWII experiences and his life after the war. He has gone on to a better place but left a large hole in the hearts of many people.

I remember "Dutch" as an excellent trap shooter for many years. I also remember him telling about his experience at Hickam Field on 7Dec41. My deepest sympathy to the Kempen family; we all share in the loss.

I will miss Dutch and, we had look forward to our visits over the years in Ontonagon. I truly enjoyed redoing the Store front for Dutch and his wife Janet. They were both great people.
